Delicious bundles of asparagus wrapped in savory prosciutto and encased in flaky puff pastry, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus
  • 6 slices prosciutto
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or chives) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares.
  3. Take a few asparagus spears and wrap them in prosciutto.
  4. Place the bundles in the center of each pastry square.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry over the bundles and seal them gently.
  6. Brush the tops with the egg wash for a beautiful golden hue.
  7. Bake until they are puffed and golden, about 20 minutes, checking regularly to avoid over-browning.
