Delicious soft bread filled with fresh strawberries and sweet whipped cream, perfect for snacks or desserts.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of soft white bread (shokupan)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Hulled the strawberries and slice them into halves or quarters.
  2. Beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  3. Spread a generous layer of whipped cream on one slice of bread.
  4. Arrange the sliced strawberries on top of the cream.
  5. Cover with another slice of bread and gently press down.
  6. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes to let flavors meld.
  7. Slice and serve your sandwiches.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
