A delightful blend of fresh strawberries and rhubarb creates this sweet and tart applesauce, ideal for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 2 cups rhubarb, chopped
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Optional sweetener to taste (such as sugar, honey, or maple syrup)

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop the strawberries and rhubarb into small pieces.
  2. Combine them in a pot with water and optional sweetener.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until the fruits break down and soften.
  4. Mash the mixture lightly with a fork or potato masher to achieve your desired texture.
